The Challenge

Develop a comprehensive social media content strategy and creative platform that promotes Suicide Squad as a family-friendly epic and lays the foundation for the franchise.

The Solution

Suicide Squad required us to take an innovative approach to the social media campaigns as the original R-rating for the movie had given the fans the impression that a “Deadpool” style movie was in production. Warner Bros changed direction early in development and needed a quick redirection in social media content. Given the fan backlash, our approach was to develop a social media storyline around the unique (and psychotic) love story between the Joker and Harley Quinn.

The Results

The result supported over 200m social media impressions and contributed to the $740m in box office sales.
